The Bulger Facility
In 1999, MAX received PADEP consent to use residual waste to cap and close a former hazardous waste disposal unit. This program has reduced the long-term liability of this site, while providing a low-cost disposal alternative. An additional 30-acre area has been included in this program, which will provide many years of service. With an unlimited daily limit on reciepts, MAX's Bulger Facility is a key partner for fast-track Brownfield Development projects.
MAX Environmental’s Bulger Facility holds Pennsylvania’s only Phase I approval for a Subtitle C hazardous waste landfill. Our highly skilled workforce is dedicated to providing you with the highest level of service, and includes professional engineers, consultants, compliance experts, laboratory technicians and project managers. All employees participate in rigorous, ongoing classroom training, and supervised on-the-job training in hazardous waste handling and safety. The management team and hourly employees receive the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations (HAZWOPER) training, and annual refresher courses.
The Bulger facility handles non-hazardous wastes.
