Yukon Facility

Our Facilities | Yukon Facility

Situated approximately 30 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, MAX’s Yukon plant is the only facility in Pennsylvania that offers RCRA Subtitle C permitted waste treatment and on-site commercial disposal of residual waste. The facility’s residual waste landfill is permitted to accept a wide range of materials from construction, and manufacturing industries, as well as from metal contaminated waste site cleanups. A leader in waste stabilization and solidification processes, MAX offers fast, high-volume processing in the Yukon Solid Waste Stabilization and Solidification (SWSS) processes. The facility’s specialty Containment and Processing (CAP) building is permitted to crush and resize slag and refractory brick and store bulk wastes and products. Our streamlined waste approval process, flexible operations, and high-volume processing capabilities make the Yukon facility an ideal choice for responsive and cost-effective waste management solutions.

MAX submitted an application to renew its Hazardous Waste Permit in 2014.  The renewal application was deemed by the PADEP to be complete in 2015.

WHAT’S NEW AT YUKON!

In March 2021, MAX submitted an application to the PADEP for a new Hazardous Waste Landfill (Landfill 7) proposing to add over 1 million tons of additional disposal capacity!
