Non-Hazardous Waste Services

The non-hazardous waste services that MAX offers include:

PADEP Subtitle D Permitted Facility – MAX's facilities possess all of the necessary EPA and PADEP permits to handle a wide range of non-hazardous wastes, including  de-listed treatment residues from Electric Arc Furnace Dust (EAFD), the highest-volume industrial waste generated in the United States. 

Beneficial Use Program – MAX uses non-hazardous or residual waste  which meet the Beneficial Use parameters to create an intermediate cover, forming a positive slope on the disposal units. Examples of the type of waste used include foundry sands, slags, sludges and contaminated soil.

Fuel Blending Systems Treatment --  Liquid, solid and semi-solid materials are transported to MAX’s qualified TSDF vendors and processed to all cement kiln specifications.

Materials Crushing, Sorting & Screening – MAX has the necessary experience and equipment to crush kiln brick or slags at your site or at the Yukon Facility, ensuring that the processed materials meet EPA requirements for proper treatment and disposal.

Laboratory Services – A full service laboratory dedicated to providing XPRESS sample turnaround is now available. MAX Analytical XPRESS

Oil Recycling – MAX uses approved oil recycling vendors that conduct recovery via heat separation, filtration, carbon absorption and flocculation.

Residual & Non-Hazardous Waste Disposal – MAX can manage other residual wastes requiring disposal or recycling.  Your company’s waste stream characteristics will be reviewed to determine the most environmentally sound and cost-effective solution.   A fully automated system, which continuously monitors process waste to ensure proper chemical and physical treatment, has enabled us to process more than 1 billion gallons of liquid waste, and millions of tons of solid wastes, since 1957.

Stabilization, Solidification & Solid Waste Processing – MAX  has a stabilization and solidification system that enables the processing of liquid waste, as well as solid, semi-solid and sludge materials.

Wastewater Treatment – MAX can design, construct and manage an on-site wastewater treatment facility to handle non-hazardous wastes.  MAX can also maintain the facility and train your company’s workers to manage its daily operations.

Waste Collection and Consolidation – A MAX-designed and constructed waste collection and consolidation system provides efficiency and cost savings.  MAX will collect your company’s waste on-site, consolidate it and transport it to either Yukon,  Bulger or other designated facilities.  The process minimizes your company’s transportation, storage and disposal costs.

MAX works with your company to design, construct and manage the waste consolidation pad system. All consolidation pad systems are designed to minimize handling of, and contact with, the waste.  MAX then provides all required logistics for each waste stream, saving you management time.  MAX loads each truck to its optimal weight assuring maximum safety and savings.

Drum Management Services -- MAX provides services for your company’s non-hazardous drummed waste, including liquid, solid and semi-solid materials.   With nearly 50 years of experience working closely with regulatory agencies, MAX has the expertise to streamline your approval process.  This expertise results in an efficient, cost-effective method for handling your company’s drum disposal needs.  MAX’s turnkey services include sampling, drum preparation, labeling, laboratory analysis, transportation, treatment and disposal, as well as handling all paperwork and administrative details for your company’s project.

Carbon Adsorption Processing – MAX offers comprehensive carbon re-activation services.

Dust Suppression Services  -  MAX will supply various dust suppressants to meet your company’s specific needs.
